Between us, we’ve built fast database startups, run VC-backed startups in the US and UK and founded one of the world’s first social media agencies. We made Codec to empower marketers and creatives with the empirical evidence they need to make better decisions and we are proud to have worked with some of the best in the business since founding Codec in early 2015.

Full Stack Developer

We’re looking for a strong full-stack developer to work on all aspects of our content marketing analytics system, from backend data ingestion to the front-end analytics application. The role will be using a mixture of Scala and Javascript / TypeScript / ReactJS, however as long as you are a strong polyglot developer we don’t mind what languages you’ve previously been using.

You’ll get exposure to the latest technologies, be able to build our big data pipeline and implement machine learning algorithms as designed by our data scientists.

You:

Data Scientist

You will join a fast paced team of experienced content marketing analysts and data scientists, helping us rapidly scope and prototype data mining methodologies, and translating the needs and discoveries of our data team to our engineering team.

This means you’ll be bringing your imagination, love of experimentation, and scripting skills to bear in furthering our goal of building out the greatest depth of understanding as to how media captures an audience. No brainstorm will be complete without you.

You:

  • Are able to speak the languages of both the dev team and the data team

  • Are able to translate analyst briefs and well-formed ideas into small scale prototyping projects

  • Can help test our hypotheses and develop your own

  • Are ambitious and want to join a Company where you get to see your work reflected in highly visible outputs around the world

  • Will have day to day input into the direction of the data science team, and full backing from them

Key skills:

  • Using Social Media APIs (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

  • Data Manipulation

  • Neural Networks and machine learning

  • Python, or other scripting language

  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (eg. Python NLTK)

  • SQL
