3+ years of experience working in a strategy or strategic planning role at a content or brand side agency, or started your career in strategy and moved towards the new business side. You must have a strong blend of relationship management skills, strategic thinking, and general commercial know-how
You have a great network - however senior you are you are respected in the marketing world because of your ability to articulate your passion for marketing (when it’s done right)
You have a well rounded understanding of strategy and planning, and how brands fit this into their workflows so that you can correctly position and pitch the Codec platform to help them achieve their goals
You have spent most of your career fostering relationships with brand managers or CMOs (ideally within B2C brands), helping them achieve their goals and objectives, and you truly understand their problems and pain points
You have a proven ability to communicate strategy clearly to multiple teams and people with diverse areas of expertise
You believe insights are the core of good marketing and are curious about helping brands understand cultural insights into the audiences brands care about
You have a keen interest in, and can contribute to, thought-leadership within the brand and content space- one of the reasons you are excited by Codec is you will get to build this thought leadership out further by representing Codec on stage, and leave your mark on a product that will help make marketing better

Leveraging your network and existing relationships to get referrals into brands, directly and across larger brand groups that we already work with
Managing and understanding the workflows and priorities of Codec’s large high-value clients to the extent that it helps you spot opportunities for upsell, and to navigate through different teams with the brand, or brands within the brand group
Crafting your pitch for the Codec platform in a way that complements your style whilst keeping consistent with the wider Codec messaging
Existing customers. You will oversee key customer accounts, to ensure that Codec customers are receiving insight and audience analysis that is relevant to them, and helping them achieve their goals, and thus strengthening your relationship with the brand or brand group in order to win further business
External communications. Work closely with the CCO to ensure the Codec messaging is always sensitive to the market, perfect the pitch, and help inform the creation of rich media assets to bring the company’s mission to the global marke

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the problem we are solving, has spent their career in this industry (and has the network to show for it), and has a proven skill when it comes to pushing a commercial agreement or deal through a large brand group. Your core two goals in the role will be bringing in revenue for Codec through new business with large brands (primarily B2C), and executing on a strategy of expanding through different brands across the worlds largest brand groups. You will also be able to leverage the existing customer relationships we hold (e.g. L’Oreal, UBS, Unilever, Pernod Ricard, Diageo etc.) to find new deals with brands within these groups.
